Wanelo
Wanelo is a social shopping app used by millions of people to find and buy things they love. I worked at Wanelo for over four years as principal Product Designer, working on all aspects of the iOS and Android apps and website from UX to visual design and prototyping. I was also responsible for user research and testing, and conducted in-depth user interviews. I worked closely with Product Managers on setting up A/B tests, and understanding the impact of those tests by looking at metrics.

The Newsfeed
Here's where social interactions happen within the app. Users post photos of themselves and compose associated products into a photo story, these stories can be liked, reposted or shared on social media.
Here's the user research and process that went into designing the newsfeed.

The product page
Here's where users get the most information about a product, including price, description, reviews and photos. We A/B test every element on this page including the banners and callouts.

Magic Feed and Post Actions
The Magic Feed has a personalized daily sales banner with a timer at the top. Users can post products and photos via the camera button in the tab bar.

Sign up flow
We designed a linear signup flow which increased conversions significantly. Tiny design details like auto-fill, clear error messages and username suggestions reduced friction and allowed for a smoother sign up process.

Swipe to Save
Swipe to Save was born during our Tahoe retreat/hackathon. We released it as an A/B test and it was so popular that it replaced our existing onboarding flow.
